Capturing the power of performance through photography

Performers silhouetted in deep red stage light

Musicians tell stories through sound and emotion. On stage, those stories become a conversation between artist and audience. I love capturing that exchange.

Where it began

Photography began for me in a high-school darkroom more than 30 years ago. In the mid-1990s, I ran a photography studio in Ōtautahi Christchurch and collaborated with talented friends and hospitality colleagues. That work became the beginning of the portrait archive woven through this collection.

If you’d like me to capture the energy of your next event, let’s talk.
